bleh

so my three-day weekend was kinda on the bleh side. friday i ended up coming to austin to do some window shopping. i went to bookpeople to find books that i will not be able to afford until this friday. then i decided to go to half-price on guadalupe, only to find that it had relocated to near koenig. on my way there, it was weirdness, however. i was blasting "burning up" by madonna in my car, and when it was fading out, i heard the car next to me blasting "dress you up." then when i was at another stop light, i was blasting "peek-a-boo" by siouxsie and the banshees, only to see some weird guy in a suit walking down the street, singing said song. so i finally got to half-price and ended up buying "the city and the pillar" by gore vidal. then i drove back to waterloo to look for "petra hadan sings the who sells out," didn't find it, didn't ask for help, and then drove back to san marcos to get sloshed.

saturday i ended up just getting sloshed and trying to finish "duluth," but to no avail.

i spent most of sunday reading and finishing "the city and the pillar," and it depressed the hell out of me. the plot resembled too much of how i've lived my love life, and, well, that's depressing. i know i should probably take it as a sign to let go of the ideal of love that i thought i'd eventually have with tim, you know, since he has moved on as well. gah.

now i'm at work. and i just remembered that i need to get my car inspected before friday. which entials me waking up early to NOT watch "the young and the restless." hmm ... we'll see if that happens.
