so it's been a slow day at work, and there's still talk about whether we'll get friday and the whole weekend off. considering last weekend was the first weekend we've had off in quite a while, people's hopes are up.
except for me. being broke and without friends to hang out with in the city in which i live makes three whole days of nothing seem pretty, well, full of nothingness. sigh. i could go down to san antonio and visit some friends, but that would involve precious gas and money that needs to sustain me through next friday.
i also just heard from my friend elvia a couple of days ago. we go way back to junior high; she's probably the only person from that time period that i still speak to. hell, she's probably the only person from high school that i still speak to. so i found out from her that she has moved back to brownsville and is going to ut-b. this disappointed me a little considering she moved to virginia like two days after graduation in 99 and was in houston for the past two years. i thought of everyone i knew, she'd be the one to stay the furtherest away from brownsville. oh well.
so maybe jennifer will want to do brunch at hyde park grill on sunday, if they're open. hmmm. mayhaps i should ask her such. hmm ...
