oh yeah, before i forget, state Rep. Robert Talton, R-Pasadena, is officially on my shit list now, with a cozy spot right next to Warren Chisum.
Talton is trying to make it so that gays and bisexuals would no longer be able to be foster parents in Texas, saying that homosexuality is a "learned behavior" and compares it to alcoholism and domestic violence. or at least that's what he told the Austin American-Statesman and The Daily Texan.
i guess he forgot to mention that bigotry is also a learned behavior, and one he obviously learned rather well.
all this would do, if this law passes, would be to make these children that are in the foster care program even more distrustful of adults.
i could rant on more about this, but i already have basically all day. and even i get tired of bitching about something so entirely out of my control.
