i heart joel

ok, i think i have five reasons to heart joel. let's see.

1. He burned the Pixies CDs for me. He did. One day I mentioned during a smoke break that I still haven't recovered all the Pixies CDs from when my car got broken into several years ago, he said that he could help me out in that department. Several days later, I had the CDs in my hands. Which lead to me being able to keep my sanity in my apartment diaster drama (read previous post). So I have my sanity thanks to Joel's consideration and the Pixies.

2. He watches The O.C. I don't know anyone else that does. So it's nice to have someone to discuss the show with. That way I can say "Shirley Manson looks like Julie Cooper-Nichol in the new Garbage video" and he'll have a semblance of what I'm talking about.

3. He went to school with Joey Waronker. I just found this out recently. I was (and still am) obsessed with that dog, the Rentals, Petra Haden, and Anna Waronker. Joey is Anna's brother. And he composed the music for Chuck and Buck, which is one of my favorite movies, which included Maya Rudolph (who played keys in the Rentals) and Tony Maxwell (who was the drummer for that dog and co-composed the music for Chuck and Buck). So yeah. The fact that Joel went to school with Joey fucking rocks. Well, at least to me, it does.

4. He likes to smoke and drink alcohol. I also like to smoke and drink alcohol. So there.

5. Um, damn. I can't think of a 5. Shizah. It'll come to me in time. But I mean, come on, wasn't the Pixies enough? If anyone can come up with other reasons why I should heart joel, let me know.
