here i go again on my own, going down the only road i've ever known

so here i am in Hour 7 of working again at the TLC. and there's already a need to stay late today. oh, the nature of session, and even more so since it's special session. so yeah, i've been taking some smoke breaks because the work has been a little sporadic today. i normally wouldn't mind taking so many smoke breaks, but it's a bit annoying because our badges to get in and out of the building weren't activated today due to the system being down at the DPS, so i've been having to borrow a co-worker's badge. but overall, i love that i'm back. i just wish it weren't for just a damned month or less ...

in other news, i got a call back from the ad agency today. they want me to go in for another interview this week, this time with the VP of creative. that is intimidating. and i also wonder if they'll still want me after i tell them i won't be able to start until mid- to late july because of my current work. and i also do not know how much said proofreader position pays. seeing as how i'd be the one-and-only, my salary requirements are going a bit higher than usual. yeah. that probably wouldn't appeal to a future employer at all, eh?

i also got a reply from BJM. i don't know what to make of it. it seemed rather professional-like. maybe it was his way of telling me he's just not that into me. or into me, period. oh well. nothing ventured, nothing gained.
