mando at nite

so i'm watching roseanne on nick at nite right now, and the little logo on the bottom righthand corner says "20 years of nick at nite." and i really can't believe it's been around for 20 years. and that i'm older than it. i mean, i grew up on nick at nite watching patty duke, dobie gillis, laugh-in, mr. ed, classic SNL (here my love of gilda radner began), and so on. so yeah. it's kinda of weirding me out. i don't know why, but it is.

on other notes, i saw revenge of the sith today. color me disappointed. or color me a fanboy. i just wasn't satisfied with how easily anakin succumbed to the dark side, and how easily the jedi were fucking massacred. it was really, to quote cartman, weak.

and on top of that, my internet has been really screwy today, and it's really pissing me off. i mean, the reason i got roadrunner instead of getting a landline and getting some sort of dial-up connection was because i thought it would be faster and cheaper. oh ho, was i wrong. for the past two days, my internet connection has just been coming and going. it's like i'm dating the connection with how frequently it leaves. ha. but yeah, pissing me off.

i did go grocery shopping today, and spent way more than i expected to. but i plan on actually doing some cooking this week. i plan on making two different types of pasta salad, as well as homestyle baked mac and cheese. now let's just see if it comes out edible. either way, i'll be eating it, because i'm only cooking for myself. sigh.

the only thing to look forward to this week is the proofreading test i'm taking at ut press on thursday for a freelance proofreading gig. this is really the only thing i'm looking forward to, employment-wise. sigh. ok, back to roseanne.
