so who's harmony?

So I'm totally psyched about the upcoming X-Factor book coming from Marvel in November. I was a fan of the original X-Factor, up to a certain point (I gave up around the time Havok went evil, they had Sabretooth and Mystique join the team, and the holographic Shard ... gah). I love Peter David's run. I mean, come on, gee cees! Classic. And the mayo jar? No one did a humorous X-book quite like Peter David. And I'm thankful he'll be the scribe on this new version of X-Factor. This time, the premise of the series rolls out of the Madrox miniseries, where Jamie started an investigation agency, joined by Guido (Strong Guy) and Rahne (Wolfsbane). The new series will see them joined by Monet (M), Theresa (Siryn) and Julio (Rictor). But with the whole investigation agency angle, I can't help but compare to Angel. So here goes.

Jamie Madrox=Angel: This only because they were the leaders, and this is Jamie's agency. Otherwise, I mean, come one, Jamie is crackup and in no way broody.

Monet=Cordelia: Almost too easy. But only in the rich bitch aspect.
Monet=Fred: This also works because Monet is "perfect."

Guido=Lorne: So Guido is so not as gay as Lorne, but he does provide comic relief. And unlike Lorne, he can hold himself in a battle.

Rictor=Gunn: Both have similar histories of violence. Rictor doesn't always think before he attacks, much like Gunn in his earlier days. Both are someone you want on your side in a fight.

Siryn=Doyle: OK, the only comparison here is both are Irish and had drinking problems. I'm streching here ...

Rahne=Harmony: Um, no ...
Rahne=Wesley: Not quite, no ...
Rahne=Spike: Closer, but still no ...
Rahne=Kate Lockley: Nah.
Rahne=Conner: Hell no.

OK, so maybe this comparison turned out harder than I thought. I thought it would be as easy as comparing Monet to Cordie. Guess I was wrong. I'll revisit this comparison in November when the book actually comes out.
