weekend update

My weekend went pretty well. Saturday was filled with lots of twists and turns, but all good. The day, er, night started off at the Friendly Friends photo exhibit at End of an Ear. It was fab. I've always been of fan of Joolie's and Dan's photos, so to see them in a medium other than my computer screen was great. Although I was still too introverted to actually introduce myself to Dan and say I love his photos, especially the lomos. After a sufficient buzz was caught, and the photo glitterati was dying down, I headed over to Jeremy Erwin's with Amy St. and Julia. That was a bit odd, because I don't really know Jeremy and was only officially introduced to him that night. So after drinking some of his beer, Amy and I headed downtown to meet up with her friend Sarah (whom I'd met once before via Carrie Clark) at Whiskey Bar. Now, anyone that knows me knows how I do not dance. And if I do, I have to be pretty plastered. And if I do, I dance purposeless as a spaz because, hey, you gots to have fun with it, yo. So spazzy dancing ensued, and it ensued over to Oilcan Harry's (and you know I had to be drunk to willingly go to a gay bar). And then we ended up at Sarah's friend Chico's house. It was then around 4 in the morning, and about time to call it a night.

Sunday was filled with lying around with the cats, going to my place to pick up some clean clothes, watching my Angel Season 1 DVDs, and watching Happy Endings at the Dobie. Almighty Hera, I loved that movie. It seemed a bit like The Opposite of Sex, but in a good way and not the "director/writer is just doing what he already did" kid of way. I even cried a little toward the end. But, man, I love Lisa Kudrow, and this movie only made me love her more. Gah.
