Where's your urge to purge?

So all's good on the Mando health front.

In other news, I'm an official Austinite. I've been moving all weekend, hence the lack of postiness. I spent most of Saturday moving, most of Sunday unpacking, and I had to go today to San Marcos to disconnect my electricity.

But yeah. After moving on Saturday, I went to dinner with my dad and BIL (who came up to help me move). We ate at Texas Chili Parlor, which was kinda weird because I've eaten their food many times as take-out, but never actually eaten there. It was a little odd, but good. And, hello, cheesy cheese enchiladas! drooooolll ... So after all the moving, I needed a drink, and Rebecca was up from San Marcos, so we hit up Cloak Room with two of her friends, one of whom was extra cute. Sigh. Anyway, none of them had been to Cloak Room before, so it was an extra treat to go there with them.

As previously said, I spent most of Sunday unpacking and trying to learn where things are. I went to the Hancock H-E-B for some slight grocery shopping. Then I decided I needed things from Wal-Mart. Not knowing where the closest Wal-Mart is, I drove all the way down to the one on Ben White, where I spent 45 minutes looking for sponges and a hammer, found neither, walked out frustrated and tired, and drove back to the Hancock H-E-B and bought sponges and beer.

So today after my jaunt to San Marcos, I went to Target to try and solve some of my storage needs. They were not met. But I did find other things I needed, such as a bathroom rug, a hair dryer, a toothbrush holder thingy, and some other things I didn't really need but I bought anyway. Afterwards, I made my first-ever trip to Central Market. Yeah, I know. I've lived up here for almost four years and never been to Central Market. And I was not let down.

And there's so much more I have to do now that I actually live in Austin. I no longer have the excuse that it's too far away. Because I'm here now. Yeah.

So today, after work, I get to go to my new neighborhood post office and mail off some bills. And yes, I am excited about this. I'm just so fucking happy to finally be living in this city. There are no words. Now if only I wasn't working like 60+ hours a week so I could enjoy said city ...
