I had better things to do
So I avoided watching the Emmys last night, because frankly there were better things to do (e.g., watch Family Guy, watch American Dad, not watch the disappointment of the Emmy wins, etc.). But I did watch some snippets. Defamer did a good job of giving the highlights of the awards show. Although there were a couple of things I saw that didn't make it to their coverage. One was the award for outstanding writing for a variety, music or comedy program. The presentation of the nominees, included what I thought was the most humorous event of the evening, with the Late Night with Conan O'Brien nomination, which included a rather fast, unseeable flashing of the other writers on the show, followed by a long, loving shot of Conan Christopher O'Brien. I had to lie down on my couch, I thought that was so funny. But that's just me. The other moment was Ellen talking to the guy who keep track of how much time the show is over, and they were over four minutes, so Ellen decides to try to get to know the guy and entertain him with her ventriloquist act. Now that's comedy. Ha. OK, that's my two cents. Back to doing NOTHING at work ...
