I gave in
I spent a lot of today avoiding working on my freelance assignment. I went to Austin Books and Half-Price in search of comics, ate some greasy, fake-fish goodness from Long John Silver, and came back home to read some comics. Then I saw Thursday's and Friday's episodes of General Hospital on SoapNet. Then I actaully did a little bit of proofing. But I kept getting sidetracked because I had questions that could only be answered by the almighty Chicago Manual of Style, 15th edition (which I have a copy of at work, because it belongs to the company). So I gave up for a little bit and saw the new episode of Teen Titans. Then, after trying to proof again but not knowing if a endash or hyphen should be used, I broke down and headed to BookStop. And I finally did it. I bought my own copy of the Chicago Manual. I think the main reason I held off on buying it for so long is because it costs around 60-fucking-dollars with tax. But yeah. I have it now. And it makes me feel a little sick. I don't know why, it just does. Gah. OK, back to avoiding my freelance work and watchign some South Park. Sweet.
