recap: the weekend edition (and a day late)

Friday:
Hmm, not much happened on Friday. I introduced Dar to Orgazmo, and we ordered in Chinese food (mmm ... shrimp lo mein).

Saturday:
Well, after sleeping in a little late, headed to San Marcos to meet up with Matt and Tanya, who were down from Dallas for the weekend. We drank at The Tap Room, where I once again rejoiced in the splendor of being able to smoke and drink at a bar. After, that, I headed back to Austin to see a bunch of fanatics perform episode 1.5 of Six Feet Under right across from Lyman's house. That was really great. (SPOILERS: For those of you who don't want to know about the performance, the description will be in Inviso-text. OK, it's just white text, but it's like invisible.) The performance was great because you know the people doing it are big fans of the show and NOT professional actors. Some of the best parts were the performance of the opening credits, the cat puppet, Keith being played by a white guy, Brenda's dad looking like he wanted to fuck Nate, and the big boob body suit. After the performance, it was on to Hole in the Wall for the Meat Purveyors, which was, of course, great. Then it was time for sleep.

Sunday:
Sunday was brunch at Hyde Park Grill with the meeting of Matt and Tanya and Dar. It was pretty good, although I couldn't finish my fried egg sandwich because I was a little nauseous from all the drinking done Saturday night. Then it was time for a nap. Then I woke up around 10 p.m., wide awake, so I went to I Heart Video and rented Primer (which I'll have to see probably five more times to even start to understand it) and the first disc of the first season of Six Feet Under (which ended up not working in my DVD player because it's too scratched up). Then I did a little reading in bed. Which takes us to Monday.

Monday:
The work week started. Ha.
