So I finally bought a DVD player.* It's shiny and cute and only cost $35. So to go with it, I bought the Collector's Edition DVD of Spaceballs (which features the entirely too east Spaceballs: The Trivia Game), and Dar bought me the Special Edition DVD of Orgasmo, which I haven't viewed just yet, but it features a dirtier version of the movie. Sweet. Now the DVDs I own will no longer feel as if the VHS tapes are lording over them because now they, too, can be viewed.
In other news, if everything goes as scheduled, I should be getting my wisdom teeth (all four) taken out Wednesday morning. And I will be doped up for it. And it better be worth it since I'm paying for the damn anesthesia out of my own pocket because insurance wouldn't cover it. So that should go as planned, that is, of course, unless this sudden sore throat I woke up with today develops into something worse by then. I hope it doesn't because I do not want to have to reschedule my extractions and my vacation!*

*I actually already owned a DVD player that is part of my computer, which I bought back in 2001, but my computer never had enough RAM, so it would never play a DVD for longer than 15 minutes before crapping out on me and having to reboot the whole damn computer. So yeah, I never really counted that as an actual DVD player since it never did much of anything in the first place.
**I'm taking three days of vacation time for my "recovery"*** from the extractions.
