but it wasn't.

a couple of days ago, i stumbled upon this. there are no words to describe exactly how much i need i like you: hospitality under the influence by amy sedaris. and after listening to the samples from the audio book, i fucking need the audio book, too.
and plus, upon further inspection of the site (namely under book tour), amy will be in austin next weekend! she'll be interviewed at the texas book festival at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28. (Finally, someone at the texas book festival i can get behind. i mean, sure, gore vidal will be there, and i love him, but he's going to be interviewed by maureen dowd. yeah. pass. [because, you know what, maureen, men are fucking necessary! just because you don't get any dick doesn't mean you need to write a book about it.] and should you be frightened that alex kuczynski will be in austin? yes, yes you should.)
amy will also be at bookpeople at 8 p.m. that same saturday. i have to see her at both. and i swear, this isn't like that time when ethan hawke was at book people pushing one of his "books" and i wanted to go and attack him with his own book while yelling "you're not a real author! you're not a real author!" no, running into amy would be more like me becoming a blathering idiot and saying "can i have some candy, because you're a stranger."
ok, that's all. more later. maybe.
