hollow weiner

one of my co-workers is having a halloween party, and i'm still deciding if i want to go or not. i've spent the last couple of halloweens just staying in, getting drunk, and re-watching several nightmares on elm street.

this got me to thinking of halloween costumes past. a couple of years when i had my skunk streak, i once dressed up like rogue from x-men (it was a lame, last minute costume that just really involved me wearing a hood and saying i was early '80s rogue and possibly still evil) and the other as caitlin from degressi junior high and degressi high (which i even threw in an impromptu fake epileptic seizure).

one year back in high school, all i did was buy a red sheet, cut eye holes in it and said i was johnny depp from nightmare on elm street after freddy killed him and he was nothing more than a large puddle of blood.

my standby from a couple of years back from simply a nametag with "hello, my name is god" on it (ala oz from buffy).

a year or two ago, i really wanted to dress like courtney love, but that was also before i started shaving on a semi-regular basis. i also was apprehensive about showing as much skin as i would be. and if i had bruises, i wanted them to be real. and i never did find just the right wig.

if i go to this party, i have no idea what i would end up dressing as. i have a feeling i'd just go back to being god again. my only other idea so far would be yet another degressi "costume", this time as liz. all it would require would be for me to get a bad bleach job (since my hair is pretty much like liz's hair style from junior high right now), wear my torn jeans, and talking lowly and about animal cruelty (and possibly calling people posers).

on second thought, that nametag is starting to look better and better by the minute.

UPDATE (2:43 p.m.): i just thought of another, simple costume, namely Superboy. all this would require would be for me to buy a black t-shirt with the super-logo, which has been made. and that would be it since kon-el's last costume was simply said black T with logo and jeans. now why didn't you think of that?
