delta burqa

things that made me happy today (it's a short list):

• i was just at h-e-b and saw a woman in a burqa! i probably shouldn't be so happy or excited about it, but it made me feel like i had just walked past sooraya. (i'm that much of a dork.)
• the fact that i can no longer say the word "pizza" without saying it in the voice of jerri blank and at least in threes.
• the fact that i can't say anything related to hot pockets without hearing maya rudolph as donatella versace in my head (get ouuuutt!!!)
• and, sadly, the fact that today i had to work and talk a bit with hot gig because we're essentially the only people working on this shitty project. well, smoking friend (for whom i'm trying to find a suitable alias) worked on it, too, but then she got other stuff to do, so it's basically hot gig and me now. (and why does that conjure the "my buddy and me" song from that old commercial?) as i said, the fact that this makes me kinda happy is sad, sad indeed.
