ok, so i've said a million times before that how people say austin is so small because you run into people all the time doesn't apply to me because i've lived in this city for two going on three years now, and i never run into anyone i know anywhere by coincidence. (there was that one time late last year that i ran into joolie, leanne and mark, and jennifer at h-e-b all in the span of three weeks, but that doesn't count because it was obviously a freak accident.)
that kinda changed today. and it kinda relates to my current freelance gig.
so it turns out that the drummer for the band that my friends amy and sara are in (were? amy is moving out of state) works full time at the place i'm freelancing at right now. and when i met him tonight, he did seem vaguely familiar in the "hey, did i maybe see him walking down the hall at work or ... nah, it's not him" way. but we met, and talked, and he's nice, and his wife is nice, and maybe this will make me feel less weird when i go in to work.
i never thought i'd say it, but, yeah, i guess austin is that small. oy.
