they being my former employer, and it being screwing me out of my money.
when i first started working there back in 2005, i freelanced for five weeks from july to august. i asked hr a million times if i had to submit an invoice or just the company timesheets or both. they said just the timesheets. towards the end of september, i still hadn't been paid. i was told to take it up with accounting. they said i hadn't been paid because i never submitted a timesheet. grrrrr. i ended up not getting paid until the first week of october.
when i quit at the end of april this year, i gave two week's notice, therefore my unused vacation time (all measely 13 hours of it) were supposed to be paid out. yet when i looked at my last check stub, the vacation time had been applied to my last check as if i had used it. it took two weeks to get that resolved.
now, i'm still trying to get paid for the last two weeks of may that i freelanced there. it's been three weeks since i submitted one of my last two invoices, so that one at least should've been paid out by now. who am i kidding, both should've been paid out by now. i know it may have something to do with the accountant quitting and getting the new accountant up to speed, but you know what? i'm sure this isn't affecting anyone else's money! that fucking company owes me close to $1,000!
i sent an e-mail to the new accountant yesterday, and he got back to me today saying he could only find one of my outstanding invoices. so i had to send him my invoices. again. i swear, they better fucking cut me a check today (friday is the day they do such things as pay their freelancers), or i am going to be so angry.
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
