things i should've done today: spam ad agencies with my resume, hoping they have work or actually need a proofer or editor; search my usual sites (craigslist, workintexas, statesman, chroncile) for work
yeah, i didn't do any of that.
what did i do? i woke up at 11 so i could watch the young and the restless*. then watched all my children. then i went to alamo south and saw superbad (it was ok; some of the scenes went on a little long; can i get a director's cut that's about 30 minutes shorter?) and had a basket of fries and a lone star. then i did some frugal-yet-much-needed grocery shopping (it almost makes me miss the days of generic products; you know, when they used to have that one aisle in h-e-b and all the labels were white with big, black, bold, sans serif font and the quality was really bad, but you just bought a month's worth of groceries for $3; yeah, that's one of my childhood memories; it makes me miss government cheese, too; also, this should've so been a footnote, but fuck it). then i spent a good portion of time sorting through comics i was planning on getting rid of and seeing which i can probably sell on ebay and which i'll be taking to half-price tomorrow. also, i did some culling of my videos and dvds to also take to half-price tomorrow.
and now i'm checking showtimes for the simpsons movie and the ten for tomorrow to which i'll see. i'm leaning toward the simpsons and keeping the ten for wednesday.
*i can't remember if i've said it before, but watching y and r was part of my daily, pre-work routine for the past couple of months. i figured why stop, i've got nothing else to do at 11, and yet nowhere to go at noon. sniff.
