i've spent the past couple of days rearranging and decorating (finally) my apartment. i spent most of today on my living room. pics to come when i'm done with the whole place.
there was also much watching and re-watching of a christmas story on tbs. but that was cut abrupt at 7, because, apparently, tbs's 24 hours of a christmas story goes from 7 to 7. so after 7 tonight, i went to hole in the wall. it was ... interesting. and, also, i think it'll be my new x-mas tradition. it was nice to not be at home and alone, especially since i was felling extra lonely. plus, the bartenders working tonight were hot, so it was nice to have some eye candy.
but what made it worthwhile was the people. there was a guy that came in around 8-ish how looked like fidel castro. there was this couple of women that came in who looked like trashed out hookers (or former hookers). they were soooo trashy. there was this group of men at the front bar who were just getting trashed and talking loudly. they also were having karaoke, which was starting at 9, but one of the people behind the karaoke was going around and putting candy canes on all the tables and such.
and me? i kept on ordering vodka tonics (using some of my allotted food money for january) and going out for smokes. but when i was inside, i was drinking in a corner and observing every one else. it was nice to be alone but not be alone, you know?
now? i'm home, and about to start watching showgirls, because nothing says x-mas like watching elizabeth berkley self-destruct and drinking lone star.
