so apparently i got the stupid seasonal data transcriber job.
ok, now before you go bitching about how i've spent all this time being depressed because i didn't have a job, and now i just got a delivery job and a temp job.
it's just ... i was actually excited about the delivery job. which i start tomorrow. the job has potential to be fun and rife with opportunities for me to blog about. it's a very relaxed environment, and the delivery area is so concentrated. plus, they sell condoms and lube. that's one delivery i'd love to make if just for the comedic value of it.
the seasonal data transcriber job ... well, it's so cold. i was telling sindhi when we were at gingerman last night that when i went there for "processing", that the whole process was really cold. the h.r. people were just kinda mean. i just didn't get a good vibe off the place.
blah. anyway. the seasonal job starts monday. i'll be working night shift (yay!). i guess i'll just see how the delivery job goes tomorrow and friday, and if i like it, see if i can shift my availability to just weekends. because if the delivery job does go well, i'd rather try to keep on to it that way i have something after the seasonal job ends and before the state starts hiring temp proofreaders again.
blah.
update (8:20 p.m.): ok, i just realized something. no matter what, i need to keep the delivery job. february is going to be a tight month for me financially. if the federal agency is like most state agencies, they only pay once a month. with that in mind, i'm going to need to keep the delivery job to, you know, survive. well, i'm glad that's settled.
