I rode the bus this morning, and it wasn't as retarded as that made-for-tv movie with Rosie O'Donnell where she plays a retard that rides the bus, sometimes with her sister (man, I wished I has seen that).
I feel like a dork because I was kinda excited about riding the bus. Well, first I was a little scared because I had never ridden the bus before, so I didn't know where to put my money, although the nice young man that got on before me noticed my confusion and pointed me and my quarters toward the right slot. (Thanks, man.)
So after that bit of anxiety, it was fun! I think what I liked the most about riding the bus was hearing the computer voice that said "Stop Requested". It made me feel like I was on Star Trek: The Next Generation, only less Majel Barrett-Roddenberry-esque. But then I kept on expecting the voice to come on and say "Bike approaching on the starboard side" or "Now decelerating".
Sigh. I'm a dork. I'll let you know how the ride home is.
