last night i received an e-mail from my sister. she was mocking this girl she ran into last night while taking her daughter trick-or-treating. we went to high school with said girl, and the mockery was because she's a manager at bath and body works. the first thing that sprang into my head was "but you're just a library clerk. how is that different? she probably makes more money than you, or equivalent."
it seems to be a trait that runs in my family. my dad was prone to mocking bag boys at grocery stores when he was unemployed. my mom would (and probably still does) mock orderlies when she's just a small, tiny step above them.
me? i mocked sports reporters, which was stupid because the sports section is one of the top-read sections of a newspaper. no one ever looks at a world wire report and says "wow, the copy editor that put this together has great worldwide news judgment."
