is it then yet?

i worked from 9 to 6 today. no lunch break. several smoke breaks, but those are alloted for. tomorrow is usually a half-day at work, and i had a full day of work scheduled. so i brought my work laptop home with me and worked from 7 to 10. ok, so i watched the second half of veronica mars and i was lost because i didn't see the first half, but i'm still counting that half-hour as work because i had to frakking work from home in order to make sure shit stays on schedule. i've never missed being a proofreader as much as i do right now. at least then i had plenty of other proofers to drink with after work and talk about funny stuff we saw that day. or just talk about eagle scouts and the top ladies of distinction. sigh.
