oh, refrigerator; i hardly knew ye. the repairman came today and said you were kaput. i can't say i'll miss you, what with your unexpected passing and ruining of my precious dairy products and frozen food stuffs. and your lack of freezer shelves. and your replacement won't be here until monday (as i previously thought).
when the repairman left, he said "in the meantime, you can just put anything that needs to stay cold on your porch." i now have four lone star tallboys out there. i'll let you know how it turns out.
update (12:28 p.m., 011407): the porch worked great for keeping my beer cold.
thank hera my fridge conked out when we're under a "winter storm warning" in austin and not during, say, august, when you could cook an egg on the sidewalk. or on my car.
