when exactly did it become a trend to make your pills flavored? i mean, outside of children's vitamins. i know tylenol has been making it's pain reliever "sweet coated" for a while, but why? did they do some market research that showed that their customers would prefer their acetaminophen products to taste like candy to relive their traumatic childhood when they didn't get flinstones vitamins?
and what about those that don't like sweet things? maybe they were happy with the way tylenol tasted before. now you're making them miserable. or lost some customers.
but now, now i find out (ok, i found out yesterday) that their cold meds come in flavors too! and color! i guess the flavor thing happened to the cold meds the same time it happened to the pain reliever, but this is the first time i've had a cold since probably summer 2004, otherwise i may have complained about it earlier. and the cold pills come in "cool burst" flavor. here's a word of advice, tylenol (actually, it's several words stringed together, also known as a sentence": if i want a cool burst of something in my mouth, i'll smoke a menthol.
and the colors! but the colors aren't just with tylenol; comtrex does it, too! take the white one in the morning. take the orange one in the morning. take the blue one or the green one at night. where're the fuchsia pills, tylenol and comtrex, and when should i take them and what should they taste like? good lorsh, the fucking colors made me feel like i was in some horrible movie starring ted logan and some old model-turned-hooker who's younger sister went on to become an evil lawyer and it all had nothing to do with the first post-Crisis on Infinite Earths Supergirl.
now if you'll excuse me, it's nearly 9:39:42 p.m., and that's exactly the time i have to take my periwinkle pill that tastes like a clown's vomit after a night of drinking in order for my nose to stop with the snot for the night.
