emmy goodness

i don't pay too much attention to the emmys because, well, i sorta hate awards shows. (i still have no idea why the tonys are televised when it's awards for stuff you can't even see on tv. it makes no logical sense!) but i'm making an exception this time because of some goodness.

tina fey got nominated for best actress in a comedy and best writing for a comedy series (for the episode "tracy does conan", which was hilarious). mary-louise parker was also nominated for best actress in a comedy, which is also sweet. and alec baldwin was nominated for best actor in a comedy series!

also, 30 rock got nominated for best comedy series, but probably won't win because it's up against the office and ugly betty.

so lots of goodness for one of my favorite shows on tv. but was it too much to ask to see the following 30 rock-ers also get nominated: jane krakowski (for best supporting actress in a comedy), jack mcbrayer (for best supporting actor in a comedy), paul reubens (for best guest actor in a comedy), and isabella rossellini (for best gues actress in a comedy)

oh well, at least elizabeth perkins from weeds got nominated for best supporting actress in a comedy.

for best original music and lyrics ... "dick in a box" got nominated? while that's funny, i think i'll go with "everything comes down to poo". ("guy love" was also nominated.)

and one of the best things i read all day: battlestar galactica got nominate for best writing for a drama series for the season three openers "occupation"/"precipice"! sadly, BSG has no frakking chance in this category because three frakking sopranos episodes were also frakking nominated. frak that.
