curmudgeoney

again, i have other posts i'm working on, and this has been an odd week, but i thought i'd do this quick post.

today, just right now, when i was at h-e-b buying much needed groceries (and this goes to my whole theory about me always choosing the worst checkout line to get in to), i was in the old curmudgeon line. there were two oldies in front of me, each complained about something, paid in cash, and had shopping carts when they only bought three small items. behind me was another oldie in one of those shopping scooters, and she just threw all of her items on the conveyor belt. it was weird.

in the "i'm a jinx" pile, to be cross-referenced with the "he's a flake" pile ... ok, i've been kinda trying to start dating again. i was supposed to go out for a drink with this one guy i met online a couple of weeks ago, only for him to cancel on me last minute for "a client meeting". so i e-mailed him back and said it was all right, i know how client meetings can go, and let's reschedule. he said ok. so i e-mailed him a couple of days after that with a resked in mind. i haven't heard from him since. so there's this other guy i've been talking with online, and earlier this week, i asked him out for coffee or a drink. he agreed. so we were going to meet tonight at 7:30 at the bark and quack. he just e-mailed me and said he had to cancel and let's resked. no explanation as to why he had to cancel.

whatever. i bet my doppelganger has people bursting at the seems to go out with him.


gah. at least lonestar loves me.
