today and yesterday, i've been putting in applications for cashier/server-type jobs at a couple of foody places around town. and so they don't automatically throw my application in the trash, under previous experience ... i've fibbed a little. and i've put that i have previous server experience. which is not so much true. so i've created a backstory for myself, that i worked as a server at a pancake house back in brownsville my senior year in high school. which isn't true. but, you know, this is when those old drama classes and community theater come in handy.
yeah. sigh.

- um ... not much to say. i'm a copy editor. i like the words "nifty" and "egads." i tend to alienate people with my vast knowledge of obscure and useless trivia. i inhale gore vidal and comic books. the chicago manual is my bible. i'm a vegetarian. i enjoy drinking and the meat purveyors (and sometimes drinking with jo walston). i like to ramble. tada?
