so that's why i got new license plates in the mail

called the office of the county tax assessor-collector. asked why i got new plates in the mail. apparently, it's now a law that you get new license plates and number when your plates reach seven years. (if anyone wants to plow through the transportation code to find exactly where it says this, be my guest because i ain't gonna do it.) seems like a waste of money to me. but oh well. at least now i know. and knowing is what will put me half in the bag. ha.
