one of the dispatcher's at work just called me and asked if i could cover a shift tonight. now, if asked yesterday, i would've said no, because i had plans to see persepolis today with michael. but those plans went to hell because only the arbor is showing persepolis during the day, and while they had a showing at 4:45, it would be cutting it close for michael, who needs to be back in south central before 8 for the first of two nights of birthday dinners friends are taking him out to. so we just decided we'd see the movie next week, if it's (hopefully) still playing. so, since i had nothing else going on, i said, "sure, why not. i have nothing else going on tonight." the dispatcher said, "whoa. i was expecting you to say no."
so much for my day off this week. (i don't count monday since it was a holiday.) oh well, i need the money.
just call me sad kitten from now on.
